Two Advanced Technologies We Use

Our team wants to make your treatment experience a comfortable one, so you have a positive time in our office. As part of this approach, our team can employ two advanced dental technologies. In today’s blog, your Houston, TX, dentist talks about CBCT imagery and our 3D printing systems!

CBCT Imagery

With cone-beam computed tomography, we can offer a unique x-ray that uses less radiation and creates a panoramic 3D picture of your entire smile, including your teeth, roots, jaw, neck, mouth, ears, nose, and even the throat. We use the PreXion 3D Excelsior system to obtain the full image quickly and comfortably, allowing us to assess the state of your soft tissues and bone structure at once. Our team can use these to create high-definition images to make a diagnosis with precision and accuracy, and to plan more extensive treatments like tooth extraction, dental implant placement, and more. No bitewings, no waiting for lengthy development times, just accurate images in a matter of seconds!

3D Printing

To reduce your time in the office and offer oral appliances, restorations, and prosthetics with precision and accuracy, we offer 3D printing with the SprintRay printer and RayWare software. First, we use a small wand with a digital camera at the end to gather images of your smile from multiple angles quickly and comfortably. This replaces the need for a physical impression, as these are combined to create the impressions needed to design and print appliances and more.

We don’t send the information to another location, we complete every step in-office! Our team can custom print crowns, bridges, implant restorations, and oral appliances to treat issues like misalignment, TMJ disorder, and bruxism (teeth grinding). We can then check the fit and make any necessary adjustments to ensure optimal care and fit.

Now is a great time to see us, as your family can obtain necessary treatments without risking falling behind in classes. We can help prepare your teen for college by removing wisdom teeth before they can erupt and cause serious complications for smiles.
